The Eighth Families Trip-East Coast

The east coast was chosen as our families’ vacation spot this year; there might not be many landmarks in and around but when you travel with bunch of family members, there bound to be lots of unforgettable moments to savor with loved one.

We stop by at Bentong for breakfast, then found ourselves checked in to a decent and restful beach-front resort at Balok two hours later; I can said that our unit is clean, spacious and comfortable.

Once settled down we paid a visit to Natural Batik Village. The kids loved spending time with batik painting. Sarah had tries her hand on it before, hence she’s using bold colors in the artwork this time.

After dinner, we went back to hotel to enjoy the beach. The place is just pristine, the water is clean and all the kids have loads of splashing fun time.

Day-2 was jam-packed. We headed straight to Cherating early in the morning for a river cruise trip; it was a leisure boat ride along the mangrove forest to explore its ecosystem. We got lucky, our boatman was humor, speak good English and have a very sharp eyes; he’s able to lead us to spot a snake, blue crabs and some primates from far distance. 90 minutes well spent on this educational tour.

Our next stop was the near-by Cherating Turtle Sanctuary - to let the kids see the sea turtle, and learnt about their conservation; another eye-opener for them.

For afternoon itinerary we visited the Pahang Buddhist Association (Wan Fo Dian) in Kuantan, for mom and dad to seek blessing. It is not the most grandiose temple I’ve ever been, but the holy place is well-maintained and its surrounding is fairly tranquil.

And then we proceed to a local shop renowned for their dried seafood. Of course, I won’t miss the chance to buy some snacks and crackers as souvenirs.

The kids woke up early in the morning on third day with only one thing in their mind, the beach again! There's nothing kids love more than playing at the seaside.

We checked out before noon and stopped by at Karak for lunch on the way home; and these group photos just aptly summed up what a wonderful outing it is.
