A week after we came back from Singapore, Sarah got a lump behind her left ear; it started with a pea sized and then it grew bigger.
The lump is red and painful when touched; it was more “agonizing” for us to watch how doctor pinched and squeezed on it. Sarah cried pitifully.
We were so bothered when doctor told us a snipping procedure might be carried out if the lump does not subside. We were considering the pros and cons of having this minor procedure.
Incidentally, my brother-in-law was having the similar lump few months earlier; and he shared with us the method to get rid of it. We followed his advices by using Chinese medicated plaster on the lump…it helps, but it also irritates her skin (due to over-do).
Seeing this, we switched to a gentler approach – the tea tree oil. We constantly applied the oil and noticed the lump has started to shrink!
And one fine day when Sarah woke up from bed, she told us that the lump has ruptured; it oozed out some pus. Thank God, she was spare the knife.
Since then, the bump has disappeared but there is a scar remained.
We can only hope that this is the end of it, and the episode will never recur.
