Separated Room

Sarah was bed-sharing with me since she was born. With two mattress park side-by-side, she co-sleep with me while daddy sleeps alone; keeping her at close proximity made us feel comfortable.

In spite of favoring co-sleeping, there is no denying that Sarah is growing up day by day; sooner or later she will needs to have her own room, space and privacy (so do we).

And then gradually we introduced the idea (of sleep separately) to her; Sarah show hesitation and refused when we first told her about it. We addressed her concerns and anxiety by assuring that the bedtime stories routine will remain. After months of consideration, she finally agreed.

As a token of encouragement we put together some simple decorations in hope that it will make her want to spend more time in her own room.

Surprisingly, for the past one month Sarah adapting herself well. We were proud of her effort trying out sleeping alone. Sometimes I will feel like she is growing up so much…

Bravo girl, another huge milestone achieved. Yay!

Thanks.
I told her she has to learn in taking care the cleanliness of the room. Sometimes she will forget, for eg arranging the story books, so I will offered my help.
But I am glad she is learning to tidy her bed after nap.

Thank you thank you.
Actually daddy was the one who contributed a lot of ideas in designing the room. Of course must thank to Ikea for the great looking furnitures too:-)
