Shakira Jr.

Still remembered the World Cup theme song “Waka Waka”? Sarah love to dance with it! Let’s see how this little Shakira enjoyed shaking her body to the beat.

She would ask to dress up in her favourite “costume” (a towel or sometimes with high heel shoes) and danced till she sweat.

I am happy that we both shared the common interest, and hope she will keep it up as a way to boost her confidence.

CNY 2013

It’s finally over-the long Chinese New Year.

Compared to when Sarah’s still a baby, the festival is now more “acceptable” to her. She enjoys watching the fireworks as she will rush outside or peeped over the window to see the beautiful lights in the sky.

We also taught Sarah about the meaning of “bai nian” (express good wishes to elderly). She learned then again when she says it in English “I wish you…have-big-house, got-money…” It sounds really weird yet hilarious.

She has done three times Spring Toss with our family and friends; she understand somehow the higher it tossed, the happier the adults. Of course she will mess up the table, but it is all part of the fun.

Instead of cursing and fearing the CNY, she’s now busy chasing every lion-dance shows and humming the New Year song joyfully; we really can see the changes in her year by year.
