Foreign Object in Her Nose!

This was the first, and hopefully also the last time Sarah does this to herself…

Out of curiosity, she tries to pokes her nostril with a bendable toy ruler the other day; I stopped her immediately and I thought that was the end of the story.

The following day we noticed Sarah had some mucus and she kept sneezing too. “It’s the symptoms of flu”, so we laments.

In the evening just when Sarah was playing with toys at the supermarket she had a huge sneeze! OMG, I was shock to see some “colourful thing” stick out from her nostril; I quickly pulled it out and this is what I saw…

By then I can finally recalled the bendable ruler episode…

Kids do the darndest thing.

My niece when she was I think 5yo or less, stuff a tiny piece of sponge into her nostril. No one knows until one day my sis realized she had some kind of stinky smell and found out that it came from her nose. Brought her to doc and not sure how the doc checked and found out that she had a sponge stucked in her nostril. And yet she can still breath. Scary.

OMG! This is really shocking, yeng... Thank God it is discover, you must tell Sarah not to do that. Probably tell her the effect if the object not able to take out so that she knows that it is dangerous! Aiyo... must be careful with what she holds too.

Yes, it was a huge sneeze and huge relief for all of us:-)
So shock saw the piece of thing came out from her nostril. Never know that the ruler has broken a lil and went inside her nose.

Yijie:
Luckily the sneeze helps to push out the small lil thing.
Did lectured her and hopefully she will learnt the experience.

Julie:
Wahhh, another scary incident happened to your niece.
- Frankly speaking, thanks to the bad odor came out from her, or else no one will know what has actually happened.

once i found that my niece nose was blocked. So i used my tweezer and pulled the foreign object out, turn out she stucked the entire straw plastic into her nose for dunno how long and her nose has started to bengkak. Then onwards I always check my kids nose to make sure, nothing is inside.

oh my god! Luckily Sarah sneezed it out, and got rid of it... phew!!

once QQ stuck a little pink sequin up her nose too. it flew out and landed on the floor when she sneezed. she said she put it in there for safe-keeping, then went to nap, and forgot about it! o.O"

Awwww! Lucky the ruler didn't hurt her nose...My daughter used to stuff things inside her nose too...I think they like to explore any possibilities anytime anyplace...I think as parents we got to have a really strong hearts *LOL

Oh dear, she might have shoved the ruler in so hard that it broke? Luckily tha broken piece came out through that huge sneeze. Kids are like that... they like to put things into holes and crevices. Chloe loved to stuff things into holes and gaps when she was younger too, but luckily not into "holes" on her body part hehe..

Actually the ruler edge is softer than the middle part. I think it somehow broken while she was poking it inside her nostril.
- Oohh hooo....Must keep an eye on kids, really! Do not know what they will do next...

King Yin:
I think Sarah did not feel hurt but she feel tickled in her nose. That's why she kept sneezing throughout the day.
- Val also had the "same habit"? Scary hor, knowing something inside their nostril and if the thing can't be extract out, then we will be panicking!

Pei Yi:
Really have to thank to the HUGE SNEEZE! Or else the thing will be "living" inside her nostril for days!
- Alamak, QQ had a dangerous thought of "safe-keeping" the sequin in her nostril, but is funny too that she had the idea.

Sasha:
Yooo...straw plastic! Is very long one wor! My goodness.
Thank God that you able to extract it out from her nose.
Such a scary incident!
- yalor, you rang my bell that I need to do a regular check on Sarah's nose. I really do not wish to see something else inside it other than dirt.
