Mother’s Day 2010

This Mother’s Day was the most “noisiest” one we ever had - we celebrated at the Karaoke. Mom and dad loves singing, thus my sister suggested it will be a great place for them.

To be honest, it was a little stress for me while I was there with Sarah; it was her first time to Karaoke and I have to try my level best to keep her entertained throughout the night.

It is like a rollercoaster of emotions for her. She’s already taken a back when she steps into the room…sometimes I saw her smile when playing with her cousin, sometimes grimaced, when she (reluctantly) speak to my siblings and parents.

At one point she really felt like crying when she was bombarded with the blazing sound system that I have to bring her to the lobby to catch her breath.

But there was a moment Sarah enjoyed the most; she sang out loud the birthday song to my father (coincidently it’s also his birthday). Oh yeah, she enjoyed the buffet too, she ate a lot! At the end, she preferred running and chasing with her cousin around the lobby.

All in all, I think at this moment Karaoke still not a best place for Sarah and us to enjoy; nevertheless it was definitely a good exposure for her.

Yea, it was our first time organise the event in karaoke. Altho for me, I think the place is not a fav place for kids, but I can see the happiness from my parents. So it is still a great outing.

Agreed! It is definitely a great exposure for Sarah. She hardly hear a loud sound at home. So she felt shock with the loud karaoke system there.
She smile when she played with her kor kor. Other than that, she looked moody and worried.

We had never brought our girls to karaoke before. I personally do not like to go there because I do not sing, too loud to chit chat and I hate the smoke.

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

True, the place really not so suitable to chat, coz basically we need to shout out loud, hehe.
Luckily there are no smokers in our group and we smelled nothing (smoke) in the room. But at the lobby, Yes:-(

Is it ar? The karaoke near your place also fully booked...wow! So do you like singing?
For me, such a long time I did not visit Karaoke.

I remembered you have a post that you brought Angel to Karaoke and that time and I think she behaved much better than Sarah. At least she did enjoyed right?
Oh yea, we like that watch too. Actually my husband and I were the one who choose for him. We found elderly ppl likes crocodile brand more, so we think he will like it.

Maybe first time, tat's why Sarah feel not easy. but for sure, it is a great exposure for her.

Actually we seldom expose Sarah to loud noises at home. Perhaps she needs more practice...hehe.

I think Sarah for sure do not want to visit the place again until she grows up, hehe.
Yes, it is always nice to have gathering with family. So nice to hear each other laughing and chatting.

Actually Sarah was not so okay with the celebration. She felt like crying at certain time:-( But as I mentioned, it is a great exposure for her and it is a fun singing time for everyone:-)

I thought she loves singing, hehe.
For Sarah, she enjoyed singing at home but not karaoke. She even dare not to hold or touch the mic.

Think kids will not like this kind of places cos it's really loud. But Sarah behaved well and such a good sport! Happy very belated mother's day to you :-).
