Manhattan Fish Market Restaurant

After reading Dora’s blog about Manhattan Fish Market, we went there for the first time for hubby’s birthday dinner last week. At the entrance, Sarah was deeply amazed by the underwater slide show that projected on the floor.

Having browsing through the menu, we’ve finally settle for a Fishermen’s Giant Fried Platter; we waited anxiously for the food as we were all hungry.

When the food was served we were shocked! I mean…just look at the oversize portion of fried prawns, fish, calamari, mushroom and chips on a bed of garlic rice. The dish truly lives up to its name - giant!

Nevertheless, Sarah enjoyed eating the garlic rice; she just loves scooping out the rice from the metal bowl. Besides, she also likes to eat the batter of the fried food, it’s crunchy and no wonder Sarah kept asking for more.

But for me, the platter has nothing much to shout about actually (apart from the XXL portion); If happen we were to visit the restaurant again, for sure I will try out their other dishes instead.

I and hubby like Manhattan's food... but somehow they only serve garlic rice, no white rice. Xixi only eat white rice =(

it's a big serving of assorted fried stuff, good to go with tomato sauce..

Tried once. Like you, nothing to shout about. And very expensive too. Wonder how long this shop can survive in Seremban Town. Haha..people here don't spend like people in the city. Shops open and close very fast.

wah..really big portion leh. For me, I think is enough for our whole family (Daddy, Kit boy and myself) to share it out. But from the picture, it looks really delicious especially when I loves fried food. Yummy!

I am amazed with kids who love garlic, whatmore when it's garlic rice. My boy doesn't like garlic, even till today:( The Manhattan fish market where we go is not consistent. Sometimes, it tastes very fresh and yummy...sometimes, everything on the platter is cold and unfresh. So, like you, I will try something else, maybe something not deepfried next time:)

Hehe, the taste is ok but we are just too full to finish everything:-)

Olive:
Maybe Sarah did not know that she is eating GARLIC with rice, that's why she likes it:-) For her, she is a "fan tong" aka "rice lover" (in cantonese, so she likes everything rice.
Ooo...I have tasted unfresh seafood b4, so I totally understand what you were mentioned; it taste not good!

mNhL:
You also ordered the same menu?
For mine, I think I have not much comment. Maybe other menu taste better. Talking about western food, I still prefer TGIF:-)

Serene:
Is it? You are a big fans of MFM?
What normally you will order yeah?
Xixi does not like the strong flavour rice...hmmm...maybe mommy order noodles for her?

Kristie:
You mean you and James can finish the food? If yes, I salute you both.
For us, we have wasted the food.
May I know what normally you will order when you dine in there?

Agnes:
Guess what, I did not see ketchup on the table. But I like dipping the food in to the mayonnaise, nice!

HweiiLi:
It is HUGE! I was really shocked the moment I saw the waitress served to us.

Kylie:
The meal is RM52.90 and the total bill about RM70++ (plus 2 ice lemon tea)

Jenny:
You like deep fried food, then the platter might suits you, hehe:-)
Yes, actually the meal was ordered for 3 of us, but is still too big!

CH Voon and Kathy:
Huge hor!
yea lor, me and my husband unable to finish the food. Such a waste!

I am glad that my blog photo did not scared you from trying the meal, but craving for it after seeing it:-)
I salute you all leh (including the small lil Jayden), I mean it is so giant but can sapu it! Jayden likes the garlic rice?
I think I should order the fish and rice sets...at least we would not waste the food at the end:-)

Hi Joanne, we use to order the Fishermen’s Giant Fried Platter too, but usually we can't finish all.. haha. Actually Xixi not big fans of western food, she only eat fries or chips; so everytime we dine at western restaurant, I will let her have some porridge at home first, at least she not that hungry. Spaghetti or pasta also not her cup of tea =( She is very "Chinese" girl.

Ann said...

Wah...REALLY BIG !!!

Yeah...their other dishes are also not bad.

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Ann:
Haha! It is GIANT!
We will definitely try their other dishes the next time.

Serene:
You also ordered the same dish? Yalor, it is too big for us to finish hor. Feeling wasted looking at the unfinished food.
OO....Xixi is not a western food girl? It is a good idea that you fed her porridge at home before you all go for dinner. For Sarah, she will still drink her milk at home but when reach the restaurant, she still wants the food. She is very wei sek!
