I know Colours… (Almost)

It’s been six months since I bought Sarah the colour-flash card; at that time, she’s not interested but she knew “Yellow” the best. So I decided not to force her too much in learning colours and let her develop at her own pace.

Sometime last month, she surprised us by recognizing most of the colours while she was colouring. The funny thing is, now Sarah seems to mistaken Yellow as Red.

Anyway, it is still a very good effort from her and we are definitely proud of it.

Kitty:
Thanks!
Actually I used to thought her a set of flash card (you may see the pic from here http://samydy.blogspot.com/2009/07/outgrown-replenished-shopping-part-2.html) but I stopped using it once I noticed her dislike the card.
I guess she just know about the colours from what I talk to her during the daily life. For eg, when I bathe her, I would tell her the bath tub is red colour, the pail is blue colour and etc...
Anyway, thanks for your comment again Kitty:-)

Cynthia, Agnes, Mommy Gwen:
Thank you to all your comment. You all are so nice!

Shenny's Mommy:
Thanks for your comment.
It is really a great moment when I see Sarah's development day by day.

Kathy:
ya hor, how come I never think of that...hehe.

Serene:
Thanks Serene and how are you? Baby and Xixi okay?
Yes, Sarah's hair is getting so much longer now and thick too!
I also noticed that Sarah is getting thinner. Maybe she just recover cough for not long ago. She had cough for about 2 weeks.
Luckily she is fine now.

I have to agree with you. I think sometimes kids just do not like teaching aids.

Yeah, we shouldn't force them but let them develop at their own pace. Most important also not to compare with other kids.
