More on Dory Fish

Baked Dory Fish
This will be the second dish I prepared with using oven. Yvonne has given me the idea of baking the fish in aluminum foil; and I also got some help from this website.

Instead of apply only the mayonnaise on the fish, I added some butter too.

The fish was baked nicely. The flesh still remained tender and juicy although I’ve baked it in 240°C for about 10 minutes.

Sarah likes the fish very much…maybe it’s the slight saltiness taste from the mayonnaise. She could finish the whole piece of dory fish with a big plate of pumpkin porridge.

Thanks Yvonne for giving me the tips on using the oven in an easier, efficient way.

Spring Onion Ginger Fish
This is my first attempt in cooking this menu for my family. I am lucky that there are so many recipes available in the internet that I could refer to.

My husband and I love it. I will definitely cook the same dish again, but I got to remember to drain the excess oil after deep fry it, so the dish won’t become too oily.

Today I try a new menu...cooked dory fish with soyabean paste, dun put too much soyabean paste as it is quite salty. I marinated the fish with sesame oil and oyster sos. Or u can try dory fish with blackbean paste, both are good and suits my taste.

Hei. Great recipe. I normally grilled my salmon and mackerel with either salt and lemon juice or with tempanyaki sauce. Will try out with mayo now. My oven is probably the equipment in the entire kitchen that gives me my highest ROI...Haha

I am lucky that Sarah seldom waste the food I cooked.

Give a try, maybe Christopher boy boy will likes it:-)

Ley Mei:
You mean Jamie Oliver? Ooo..he is a very creative and good chef. Looking at the way he cook like very simple, but I think is not easy leh.
Aerwen and Katelynn do not like fish? Hmm...maybe you can try to mix the fish paste with something that they like.

Thanks Mery, you have given a lot of idea to me on how to cook Dory Fish. Will try it out soon.

Dont worry, I am sure Angel can eat fish when she grows older.
Hope your husband will like the second recipe.
Woww...I know which type of oven that you are using now. Maybe that type of oven is too big and it needs more heat to bake food.

Next time you try baking with chopped garlic and butter. Sprinkle some chopped parsley. Squeezed some lemon on it before you eat.
