Off Porridge, Coconut Cake & “Chickuteh”

Spinach, Corn, Egg Tofu Porridge
The last time I used spinach in Sarah’s porridge is when she was nine months old. As I have bought some fresh spinach the other day, it is good for me to give it a second try.

Afraid that the spinach will leave bitter taste to the porridge, so I’ve added some corn into the menu.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outcome:

Frankly speaking, the porridge tastes blunt; but after adding some marmite the dish became better…luckily Sarah still ate it.

Coconut Cake
This is the cake that I bake using my newly bought square baking pan.

I found this coconut cake so tender and delicious. I’ve used coconut milk and quite a lot of shaved coconut, but surprisingly the cake does not taste overly strong the coconut flavour.

And the feedback from my husband and my family is positive one. (Yes, I even “dare” to share the cake with them during the Father’s Day Celebration).

“Chickuteh”

I believe most of us have heard of “Bakuteh”, but “Chickuteh”? I was attracted by its cheeky name hence bought one home to have a try.

The serving instruction was written on the packaging. I love mushroom, therefore I have added in the extra Chinese Mushrooms and Enoki Mushrooms.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outcome:

Well, the soup tastes not bad although I only used one sachet of the seasonings. Sarah also had a sip but I guess she’s not so fancy with it; she can’t even finish the rice. But for us, this is satisfying enough.

About yr comment.
For the meaning of go office you gotto read this post http://jaydensnook.blogspot.com/2009/05/go-office.html

And as for weaning pacifier, I tired last time and he was off paci for 7 days. And on the 7th day he became so addicted, he shivered and at the end got sick- fever. So after that I just said okay no more forcing. Just let him cut it off by himself. So that day we went to Cheras Jusco and he brought along a Train- called James. And it went missing. So that day I scolded him realy bad and then I told him, James is missing and so is his pacifier. So he said pacifier missing too? And then he automatically weaned himself. He said his pacifier went missing. Cos he only suck ONE paci, the blue one and he is very loyal. So thats how he was weaned. :)

Ok ok...thanks for the link. I will take a look at the post.
After read the story that Jayden fall sick during the weaning pacifier process, I started to feel horrified of it.
What do you think ya? Should I start to wean off Sarah from Zui Zui? I thought to do that when Sarah reach 2 yrs old.
