Outcome:
I think the hairy cucumber suits much better with the recipe. The modified version taste less sweet than original menu but it maintained a great aroma from the dried shrimp.
I am glad that Sarah likes the dish and she was able to finish most of the mee hoon and also the soup.

Normally for Ryan's soup i will boil chicken bone + ikan bilis + kei chi..after tat i will tapis all the thing, just take the soup nia, then boil again. Put in minced chicken, veggies, fishball + egg...then put in a bit sauce (cz the soup alresdy hv a nice taste cz ikan bilis will gv a great taste + the sweet taste from chicken bone)..then put in bihun, kue tow or mee...yum...yum....Ryan loves tis soup so much...
Wah..Sarah finished again ah. Good girl.
BTW, Gwen's horoscope is Cancer/Gemini..haha..coz her birthdate is in between.

You are so hardworking in boiling the chicken and ikan bilis broth. Me malas leh..the most I can do is cook the ikan bilis soup. Luckily Sarah still likes it with the noodle.
