I am so glad to tell that Sarah has not been sleeping in the cradle (for her afternoon nap) for about two weeks. Therefore, I consider that I’ve successfully weaned her from it.
Actually few months ago I’ve tried to let her sleep on the bed during her afternoon nap, but she only managed to do so for the first day, after that, mission failed! She cried and asked me to bring her downstairs for the “Yao Yao”. No choice, I have to raise the white flag when seeing her sobbing.
And finally the right timing has come…
When my sister-in-law came for a visit two weeks ago, I thought that this will be a good opportunity to wean her off from the cradle. Normally we have to bring the cradle upstairs when we have guests, so that Sarah would have a peaceful nap…so much of hassle; so I’ve try to “forced” Sarah sleep on the bed started on that day citing we have guest at downstairs.
Amazingly, she seems to understand what I mean and she was fine with it since then. For now, I’ve pack the cradle into the store room and she also hasn’t noticed that such a thing has “disappeared” from our living room.
