About the cradle...

I am so glad to tell that Sarah has not been sleeping in the cradle (for her afternoon nap) for about two weeks. Therefore, I consider that I’ve successfully weaned her from it.

Actually few months ago I’ve tried to let her sleep on the bed during her afternoon nap, but she only managed to do so for the first day, after that, mission failed! She cried and asked me to bring her downstairs for the “Yao Yao”. No choice, I have to raise the white flag when seeing her sobbing.

And finally the right timing has come…

When my sister-in-law came for a visit two weeks ago, I thought that this will be a good opportunity to wean her off from the cradle. Normally we have to bring the cradle upstairs when we have guests, so that Sarah would have a peaceful nap…so much of hassle; so I’ve try to “forced” Sarah sleep on the bed started on that day citing we have guest at downstairs.

Amazingly, she seems to understand what I mean and she was fine with it since then. For now, I’ve pack the cradle into the store room and she also hasn’t noticed that such a thing has “disappeared” from our living room.

Well done little Sarah. I know it's really hard to wean a child from her cradle. My In-Laws' children all used cradle since baby. And they have very hard time to wean their child from it.

Ya, is quite hard to wean off something the bb used to have, for eg cradle and pacifier. Now my next challenge is pacifier! Is really a tough one!

Agnes:
Hehe, I know Chloe likes her cradle a lot. Same like Sarah last time. Perhaps if you need to get Chloe to sleep on the bed, you need to think where to tie the balloons...:-) (I remembered you said she loves balloon tied on the cradle bars).
Anyway, good luck in weaning off cradle for Chloe.

Thanks!

Sasha:
Hai Sasha, thanks for dropping by. Mind if I add your blog into mine?
By the way, yes..I have no regret in weaning off Sarah from cradle. Just afraid some day she will learn to come down from the cradle all by herself.

John has been sleeping in the bed since he was born. At first I thought of getting a hammock but since he was fine with the bed in hospital, I let him sleep in the bed.
