Pureed Pumpkin with (Air-Dried) Noodles

It’s been a long time I didn’t make pureed food for Sarah; then I just came out with this idea of using pureed food in a recipe.

Since she had just recovered from diarrhea, I think it is better not to use oily ingredient in the menu to burden her stomach.

I have blended the pumpkin and mixed it well with the noodles. I’ve also put in some canned tuna in order to add flavour.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outcome:

Well, the noodle looked and taste gluey, even after I diluted it with some water. Besides, the tuna chunks do add a little salty taste to the menu; hence it neutralized the sweetness of the pumpkin puree.

I must say that Sarah is really not a picky eater. When I first feed Sarah with it, I thought she won’t like it. But she able to accepted the gluey texture of the meal and continues with asking for second feed.

What a relief!

Mommy Gwen - Sarah does make me happy every time she finished the meal. At least she did not waste the food, coz normally I dont eat the food altho I am the one who prepared it. Hehe.

Slavemom - Actually I learned alot from channel 703. So I got most of the idea from there.
- Yeap, glad that Sarah likes it.

Kylie - Pai seh for your sweet words leh. I am not good in cooking. Sarah sometimes will eat my food because she is still a toddler, so she doesnt really know how to differentiate the good taste and bad. Hehe.

Doreen - Thanks for your concern.
She is now getting so much better.

Su Ying - I always feel I am a lucky mommy. Thanks to Sarah for not being a picky eater.
How about Yan? He likes all types of food?

Fussy Mum - You like pumpkin ya? May I know normally how do you cook it in your meal?
For me, I am okay with its taste. Luckily Sarah prefer the vege more than me, so I have no prob in feeding her pumpkin meal.

Caroline - I think Angel is just temporary not attracted to certain food that you prepared for her. I am sure she will back to her "old" appetite soon.
Kambateh mommy!

Esmeralda - Thanks for your comment.

So good!! Sarah can goes with any kind of food! My naughty Xixi is very picky la, she even told me 臭臭 when i try to feed her something recently. She also will peek on the food first before she eat. If she doesn't like the color, she will say "Yeeeeeee".... see la!!

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Serene - Haha, why Xixi will know how to say Chou Chou when you feed her certain food.
Ai yo Xixi, you are cute in saying that words but really make your mommy feeling sad of rejecting the food leh...

Haha, you are one adventurous and hardworking cook! Sarah is very lucky indeed. Sethy is starting on adult's food 2 months ago :P But I will try to cook something not heaty and oily for the whole family :)

Yugene,
Hai, long time no see. How are you and Kyle?
Thanks for regards. Sarah is fine, just recovered from diarrhea a week ago.
- Hehe, for me, sometimes when I out of idea of what to cook for Sarah, I just simply throw in those food that I thought is nice to be eaten.:-)

HN - Erm, I think I have to agreed with what you said. I am an adventurous cook, hehe. So since Sarah could eat my food, so she is an "anventurous" girl too.
- I think somehow is good to start our lil one with adult's food, so that is more easier for us when we are dining outside.
- Sethy also a lucky boy. Mommy always think of some healthy food for him.

That's great she is not a picky eater. Same goes to Heng Heng! HEHe, he eats whatever we feed him, cili or curry he also can tahan.. But Yan Yan is so choosy on her food :(

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Mommy Moon - Wah!Heng Heng can tahan when you feed him chilli or curry ya? Not bad ya. He is really not a picky eater.

Michelle - Actually Sarah has stopped eating pureed food when she has teeth. But I just thought by pureeing the pumpkin, it can make some sort like sauce to the noodles.
- Michelle, thanks for your nice comment. I am not a good cook, but I think maybe Sarah has yet to develop her stronger tastebud towards good food. Therefore she still eats my food. hehe

Kristie - Thanks for your comment.
It looked very orangey ya!

HN - Thanks for the tag. Will have a look later.

Sha - No sorry Sha. You are just trying to be honest with what you have seen.
Actually I also afraid seeing the texture. It is really gluey.
The taste ya, sweet and salty (from Tuna).
