After naps

Recently I noticed that Sarah loves to stay in the cradle for some time when wake up from her afternoon naps.

If I carry her out from the cradle right away, she will start to feel frustrated and sometimes end up crying…

But now we have thought a way out to convince her to get up from the cradle without crying but with laughter instead...We let her sit on the cradle and swing it!

Warning: Don’t try this at home; as me and my husband are professionally trained to handle this kind of naughty baby.

Aiyoh... she smile so cute la!! hahaha.. Wah.. swing on the cradle net ah? Wouldn't it be dangerous? I think Sarah will get addicted to it soon!

Hi Joanne, must be careful as Sarah may learn to sit on the cradle to swing on her own.

I am speaking from experience because my son once stood up on the cradle and he nearly fell down (we did not carry him to swing on the cradle and didnt know where he learnt it from)

Agree with Serene lor. She will get addicted and it's not safe wor. If she wanted to laze around in the cradle, why don't you let her be leh? Eventually she will want to come down right?

But her happy smile is so cute, how to resist leh. :P

I cute smile there... it's the other way round with Ashton. Once he woke up he immediately stood up, and asked to be taken out, otherwise, I can hear his "roaring thunder"..

wow.. sarah so happy!!! ;)

same goes to chloe too, she will become very frustrated and in bad mood once wake up.. need to let her rest awhile in the cradle net before carry her out... sometimes she wants more day-dream inside the cot as well..

i think most kids are the same coz same thing happened to my nephew last time also... :)

Ya, my boy also loves to sit up on the cradle like this too with our supervision.

But then, it's a little worry when he wakes up and trying to sit up on his own sometimes!

Perhaps you can try Sarah without a cradle now. Hope she dont get addicted to it.

Yes, I also realized, once baby wake up, if we dont carry them immediately, then they dont lau kai. Then they are better mood.

JT, look at the big smile on Sarah's face, hehehe .... but will she learn and do that by herself too one day? Mommmy have to keep an close eyes to little Sarah now, hehehe ....

Angel will also lau-kai after each nap unless she is having enough sleep / in a good mood. If she isn't, then normally I will say "走, 走, 走" then she will be climbing down the bed going to the living room coz she knows I will give her some treat (biscuits) to make her in a good mood again, hahaha.

This also happen to Yan Yan when she was in 1 yr+ . Sometimes they just not sleep enough...

Mommy Moon - yalor...I think is quite normal hor that kids dont want to get up from the bed or cradle if they have not sleep enuf.

Caroline - Haha, Sarah really had some great time when we swing her. But as you said, I have to keep an eye on her all the time since she loves this game.
- I believe Angel likes biscuit alot ya? What type of biscuits that you normally give her?
So biscuits is the magic thing that makes her back to good mood..hehe.

Sha - Oo...Sarah has a geng now, which is Tina..
- I think they just like the feeling of being swing..
- Same lah, Sarah also very notty nowadays..pengsan!

Kylie - Hmm...I also know about the "addiction" after you all remind me. Thanks..I think I will make the swing less times for her..

Rachel - Yalor..I think I should have trained Sarah not to depend on cradle for her afternoon naps. So is more easier for me if bringing her kai kai to places.
- Yeap, we have to give them some time to warm up in their bed before carry them out straight away from their nap.

Yugene - Yalor..see her big smile. She very enjoyed everytime we swing her.
- Woww...Kyle so geng! Can get down by himself, but at least with a bed under the swing, should be ok.

Doreen - Ryan knows how to sit up by himself? So geng!

Agnes - Hehe..Sarah did have some great time when we swing her..we feel happy too when seeing her big smile!
- Yalor...I think kids like to have some rest time altho they have wake up from their nap.

Esmeralda - Thanks!
- Ashton knows how to stand up in the cradle?

Kristie - Yes, I have two cradle nets for Sarah, because sometimes when she is wearing cloth diaper (during day time nap), she will wee wee inside the net.

Mommy Gwen, Serene and Ling - Guess what, after I have posted this post, only I realize that one day Sarah will learn how to sit up and swing by herself (dangerous act). So thanks for all your kind advice.
I will try to cut down this game for her.

Mommy Gwen - Sometimes Sarah will laze in the cradle for very long time till I have to keep staying with her (no time for other jobs). So I prefer to get her out from the cradle if I have the way to do so..hehe.

Joanne, if Sarah sleeps in the cot then you have no problem with her staying in the cot but cradle net a bit susah lor. Where does she sleep during bedtime at night?

MommyAngel said...

Hi JT, I normally give her the Heinz baby biscuits :) Like Mummy Gwen said, maybe baby cot is safer then the cradle but guess what, Angel somehow trying to climb out from her cot by 'gripping' on the rails and feet on the cot bars pulling and pushing herself up .... she manages to climb 1/2 her body out of the cot already and I think it's time to think of something else now too. Mattress on the floor is not a good idea in my room :( How about your room?

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Mommy Gwen - Sarah will sleep with me on the bed during night time.

Caroline - Ooo..Heinz Biscuits.
- Hehe...I think nowadays kids very smart already. They will think on how to escape from someplace.
- Erm...for me, my room able to fit in two master beds. One is for my husband and another one is for me and Sarah. So me and Sarah will sleep on the lower bed (we placed on the floor) and my husband one is on the upper level.
So far is ok for all of us...

Kristie - Yes, I have two cradle net. And normally I will let Sarah sleep on it in the living hall.
